“A Robertson Family Christmas.” by Miss Kay Robertson

I really enjoyed reading Miss Kay Robertson’s novel “A Robertson Family Christmas.”
This novella is based on real Robertson family Christmas traditions. Hunter Clarke is teenager from Chicago and has never even heard of the Robertson’s. His mother enters him in a contest and Hunter is chosen to spend Christmas with the entire Robertson clan. He is invited to stay with Korie and Willie Robertson. This story gave me a look into the heartwarming and sometimes-zany times of the families of the Duck Commanders. Hunter has been leading a quiet, solitary life after his parents divorce and is not happy about spending time with bearded, camouflage strangers over his Christmas vacation. Hunter see’s first hand how the Robertson family lives, loves and shares. You will see duck hunting, lots of cooking, Christmas festivities and the ugly sweater contest that was all so fun to read about. I really liked this book and how real the family life was. They shared, treated Hunter like family, worshiped and just plain had fun! The story was not too preachy but you could see and feel the faith of this family. Miss Kay told a wonderful Christmas story and Korie Robertson was the perfect hostess. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good family story with the lively Robertson’s of Duck Commander in the leading role.. I was gifted a beautiful hardback copy of A Robertson Family Christmas from Tyndale House Publishers through The Book Club, (bookfun.org) for my honest opinion which I have given.
