The Snowbound Bride by Davalynn Spencer (The 12 Brides of Christmas Book 11)

This is the eleventh book in the 12 Brides of Christmas series. Arabella Taube has left home to get away from the marriage arranged by her uncle in a business deal. She has taken a job to be a tutor for a Banker’s family in Leadville. She takes a train but has found herself at a train stop for all night stay. Seeing one of her uncle’s men following her and thinking he is there to take her back to her uncle’s, she hurries to get away from him by ducking into the back of a wagon, with a barking dog snapping at the man she feels she is safe. When she hears the wagon owner returning to the wagon she stays hidden hoping for a ride to the hotel safely before being found. Nick the wagon owner is headed back to his ranch. When he discovers her it is snowing too hard and they are too far from town to turn around. Nick also knows the hotel is full and there would be not room to stay and wait out the snowstorm. Ara finds Nick is a man of few words, but his mother is quick to welcome her and she finds she is welcomed warmly invited to stay until the storms pass. This was a warmhearted story and I enjoyed reading how Ara coped with being snowbound with strangers at Christmas time who became more like family to her in a few weeks than the family she grew up with..
I was gifted a copy by Barbour Publishing for my honest opinion which I have given.
