The Sword of Forgiveness by Debbie Lynne Costello

Sword of Forgiveness (Winds of Change Book 1)
When Royce of Hawkwood returns home after stopping a rebellion, he finds his family brutally murdered. He is told the family of the young lady he is to marry is most likely to blame. When Royce finally meets Brithwin she is not what he was expecting but he was still fully intending to make her pay for the wrong done to his family. Their meeting started a battle of wills they both intended to win. When Royce declares that he is now in charge and forces the marriage, things become stressful for Brithwin again and there becomes a power struggle mixed with mistrust, secrets, dishonorable family members and an attraction between Royce and Brithwin that becomes even harder to ignore. I really liked how stong Brithwin was even after being horribly treated by her father and how kind Royce was to his people. By being true to her faith Brithwin came through a strong but kind leader of her people. I really liked this story of Kings, Ladies and Knights riding to the rescue. I liked how the author showed how the main characters struggled through different levels in each of their faith. I’d like to thank the author for gifting me a copy for my opinion which is – I really liked this book and I am looking forward reading book 2.
