My Thoughts: I think the secret started this fire!! When Abigail was sent off to relatives she didn’t even know she had.. I felt so bad for her. She only knew that because she had been caught in one kiss, she was banished from her home and it seemed like trouble just seemed to follow her. As she tried to make a new friend she found herself trying to explain how she was involved in a barn fire to the Amish firefighter that caught her running from the barn! This story revolves around a long ago secret that so many have tried to hide and is now coming out and really turning Abigail’s world even more upside down. I enjoyed how the author had a little bit English and a lot Amish to give us an idea of how each world has a way of having the same problems and secrets that can affect generations to come.  If you enjoy reading Amish fiction, I think you will like The Amish Firefighter!
