ABOUT THE BOOK:

Two recovery specialists.
One murder.
A hunt for the Dutchman’s Lost Gold Mine becomes a race of survival.

Former Army MP Landry Parker fell into the recovery specialist role quite by accident—to help her ailing father. Now that she’s on her own, she is determined to prove herself and honor her family legacy.

After being shot in the line of duty, former police officer Nickolai Baptiste became a recovery specialist, and he’s good at his job—maybe even the best.

A potential client pits Landry and Nickolai against one another to find the Dutchman’s Lost Gold Mine map that was stolen from her murdered husband, and the potential payday is too enticing to pass up. The trail takes them from New Orleans to Weaver’s Needle in Arizona where legend claims the mine is hidden. Landry and Nickolai are no strangers to adventure, but the unlikely partners quickly discover there’s someone after the treasure and there are those who want to ensure the lost mine in Arizona’s Superstition Mountain stays lost forever.

Can Landry and Nickolai work together despite their distrust of each other to save the legend before more innocent lives are lost? Will they find the real treasure isn’t the gold, but something more valuable. . .true love and understanding?

Magnolia Moonlight (Secrets of the South Mysteries #3) by Mary Ellis

Magnolia Moonlight (Secrets of the South Mysteries #3)

In Magnolia Moonlight there are two interesting stories going on and Price Investigation is on the trail of a possible killer and figuring out an ex-husband’s odd behavior. These characters and the story are just so real to life you get acquainted with them quickly. The author just takes us right into situations with twists and turns that kept me guessing who was going to be the real culprit. I like Christian fiction that has suspense, romance and some humor I certainly would say this one delivers! I was gifted a copy from NetGalley.

Missing by Lisa Harris

About the book:  After an explosive first novel in the Nikki Boyd Files series, Lisa Harris welcomes readers to dive into a fast-paced and deadly world of counterfeit drugs and a missing woman in this striking second installment.

Readers will find their pages turning long into the night as they embark on a new adventure with Nikki Boyd. Missing persons is Nikki’s forte, but when a case of two murdered and two missing pops up on a quiet suburban street, she’s ready to start the investigation.

Her first clues lead her to her friend’s boat – and another dead body. Nikki must free her friend from what ties him to the missing homeowners. As each clue pulls her deeper into the mystery, Nikki finds herself in a deadly maze with a killer who will stop at nothing to silence anyone who threatens his business – including her.

My thoughts:  I really enjoyed the suspense and drama in this book. We were taken on a ride where no one was safe that had any information! Nikki was kept on edge as each turn and twist of evidence had her wondering if putting even her best friends onto the suspect list was necessary. Lots of action through the whole book and evidence that kept me guessing who was behind it for a long time. If you like a good suspense, you should definitely like this one!
