Final Verdict by Jessica R. Patch

“Truth is no one won here today. No one.” (from Final Verdict)

The action is fast, full of suspense and twists and turns as Beckett the Sheriff and Aurora the Defense Attorney butt heads and then find themselves caught up in a murder and Aurora the target of the murderer.. Suspense, action and a little romance make for a wonderful story and this is a winner!!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

FATAL JUSTICE.. When Aurora Daniels becomes the target of someone seeking their own twisted justice, Sheriff Beckett Marsh is the only one who can rescue her. As a public defender, Aurora has angered plenty of people in town and in her past. And while Beckett constantly clashes with the feisty lawyer professionally, it’s his duty to protect and serve. Guarding her 24/7 is now his sole assignment. He may not have been able to save his fiancee from a dangerous felon, but he’ll do whatever it takes to keep Aurora alive. Even if working with her to catch and convict this ruthless killer puts his heart in the crosshairs.

For the Record by Regina Jennings

From the start I was pulled into this story in a little mountain town where the people have formed a vigilante group that will dish out justice because the Sheriff isn’t. Betsy helps her Uncle in the small town newspaper office and loves to hunt down a good story. When the new Deputy arrives on the train and lands in the middle of a hooded marauders ride he knows he has his work cut out! Lots of action and mystery with ‘the hero always coming back for his lady’. I was gifted a copy and this definitely is another for my favorites list!

ABOUT THE BOOK:  Betsy Huckabee might be a small-town girl, but she has big-city dreams. Writing for her uncle’s newspaper will never lead to independence, and the bigger newspapers don’t seem interested in the Hart County news. Trying a new approach, Betsy pens a romanticized serial for the ladies’ pages, and the new deputy provides the perfect inspiration for her submissions. She’d be horrified if he read her breathless descriptions of him, but these articles are for a newspaper far away. No one in Pine Gap will ever know.
Deputy Joel Puckett didn’t want to leave Texas, but this job in tiny Pine Gap is his only shot at keeping his badge. With masked marauders riding every night, his skills and patience are tested, but even more challenging is the sassy journalist lady chasing him.
