Sunset In Old Savannah, By Mary Ellis

The Price Investigators are on the job and working a case of infidelity that turns into a murder case. I enjoyed all of the twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. This book labeled as a Christian, Murder & Thriller.  I found it a wonderful mix that had all three with.. yes, a nice romance as well!

I requested a copy through NetGalley and my honest opinion and review is voluntary.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

In Savannah, Everyone Has Something to Hide

When socialite Evelyn Doyle hires investigative partners and best friends Michael Preston and Elizabeth Kirby to do some routine surveillance on her wayward husband, the detective duo find themselves embroiled in a mystery that leaves them in this beautiful, historic city longer than they had expected.

Evelyn’s husband turns up dead, leaving her as the police chief’s prime target. The investigation reveals a hodgepodge of potential murderers, including a scheming business partner, a resentful mistress, and a ne’er-do-well brother. It’s up to Mike and Beth to follow the trail of secrets that reaches further than the branches of the moss-draped oaks of Savannah.

As praise of the agency gets around town, business is growing for Price Investigations. When Mike and Beth hire Kaitlyn Webb, Savannah’s newest transplant, their workload eases, but will the ghosts of her past threaten everyone’s safety before a killer can be put behind bars? And can Mike and Beth find love as their friendship and faith are put to the test?

Midnight on the Mississippi by Mary Ellis

I could only imagine walking into my work place office and finding my partner dead on the floor in a pool of blood! I found I was often placed right into the scenes of this book.. I could imagine the wind in my face on Lake Pontchartrain, hiding in the Swamp with alligators and snakes for company, or maybe eating delicious Cajun food and dancing in New Orleans! I was pulled into the story and didn’t see that ending coming. A mysterious death, suspense and romance was put together in a mystery I had a hard time putting down.. I’d recommend it. If you like a little family drama, a suspenseful mystery and a lady detective who goes to any end to get her man you will like this one!
