The Liberty Bride by MaryLu Tyndall

The Liberty Bride (Daughters of the Mayflower #6)
Wow! She was captured and kept on a ship for months, made to treat wounded and sick sailors. She was strong and made the best of it when it was so hard. When forced to choose British or American she had to play the part of double agent and her shipmates that were captured with her felt betrayed. The times and trials she goes through was so interesting! The ending was unexpected but perfect. I may read this one again!

ABOUT THE BOOK:  Lieutenant Owen Masters and Emeline Baratt meet on a British warship as sworn enemies. Where will Emeline place her loyalties when forced to spy against her country?
A brand new series for fans of all things related to history, romance, adventure, faith, and family trees.

War Forces a Choice Between Love and Country
A trip home from England to Maryland in 1812 finds Emeline Baratt a captive on a British warship and forced to declare her allegiance between the British and Americans. Remaining somewhat politically neutral on a ship where her nursing skills are desperately needed is fairly easy—until she starts to have feelings for the first lieutenant who becomes her protector. When Angels Cry by MaryLu Tyndall

When Angels Cry

This is a story of the end times as laid out in the Bible.. This a fictional book with a truth to it that will have you shuddering and thinking what if.. when.. could this really be coming?? It definitely kept my attention and the ending! Oh my.. be prepared, it’s totally different than what I expected from MaryLu Tyndall yet what I did expect from this author!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

In the not too distant future…

Wars, plagues, and famines ravage the world, immorality and violence are rampant, and the Bible is outlawed.

Angelica Smoke, a single mother and cocktail waitress, ascends the steps of a megachurch to deliver a message from God to the one man she hoped to never see again.

That message thrusts world-famous pastor Daniel Cain into a whirlwind of confusion, causing him to seek out Angelica and demand an explanation. But the woman broke his heart once and is now involved in a fanatical cult. Even being seen with her could damage his career. Still, he cannot stay away, and the more time he spends with her, the more he begins to doubt everything he believes.

Angelica is a seer. God grants her visions of the future, but she has no idea what to do with them. Her top priority is protecting her son—from the world, the culture, the devil, and especially from Daniel. But God keeps throwing them together, causing her fears to rise and reopening old wounds that threaten to tear her soul apart.

Angels watch over the couple, protecting and hoping they will make the right choices. But the angels are limited in what they can do as the end of the age comes to a close and the spiritual battles intensify, not only for Angelica and Daniel, but for all humanity.

My Review:

This book starts off with a BANG! ! First page, Charity shoots her husband and then runs for her life! I am always amazed with all the action MaryLu Tyndall puts on each page. Charity ends up being saved by a preacher who turns out to also be a ex-pirate and we sail off on his ship into  many danger times on the high seas of the Caribbean. Elias Dutton has fallen for this madcap woman and has taken it as his duty to see her back to her family and,  hopefully get her to fall in love with him before the journey is over. But, even though she feels something for Elias, Charity has had enough of men. She has decided they are all as abusive as her husband was and not to be trusted. Charity has been through enough abuse, suffering  and loss, that all she wants is her freedom and to return to her family. What a time these two have as she keeps running and he keeps saving!  Swashbuckling pirates,  uncivilized natives in  a dangerous jungle and an angry brother-in-law after them make for a page turner I was wanting to go on and on!

If you enjoy action, a little romance and a book that will keep you turning the pages. Let me introduce you to MaryLu Tyndall!  Trust me you will want to read more of her books..

About the book

charity_ebook-200x300 Suspected of killing her husband, Charity Westcott flees on the first ship out of Portsmouth, England heading for the colonies. Loathing all men after her abusive marriage, she hopes to reunite with her family in Charles Towne, but the ship ends up in Nassau. When she spots her husband’s brother, who is intent on seeing her hang, boarding her ship, she jumps overboard.

Elias Dutton, preacher and son of the famous pirate, Rowan Dutton, must get to Barbados as soon as possible. His sister is in danger, and his parents have charged him with her safety. He cannot let them down—again. But after rescuing a madcap woman from the bay, he now finds himself tricked into masquerading as her husband so they both can procure passage to Barbados.

Pirates, storms, shipwreck and betrayal threaten to delay the couple in their journey even as sparks fly between them. With her brother-in-law in fast pursuit, the last thing Charity wants is help from a man, especially a religious one, but she has no choice. After Elias’ heart was broken by a sordid woman who nearly ruined his life, he seeks a godly woman pure as the virgin sands of the Caribbean. He believes he has found such a woman in Charity. Until he discovers she is a murderer and is now faced with two choices: letting her go or turning her in to the authorities.

Escape to Paradise Trilogy by MaryLu Tyndall

I embarked on an exotic adventure with a group of Confederates who were emigrating to Brazil in the aftermath of the Civil War. We were off to build a paradise in the Brazilian jungle! I was totally drawn in from the first paragraph and through all 960 pages! It was so descriptive and full of action. I don’t know how MaryLu could put so much on each page! I loved joining the emigrants on the journey from ship to an exotic jungle. Every person had a past that they were wanting to escape and the New Hope paradise was going to be a new start. I was fascinated with how they were connected and didn’t know that until well underway on the ship to New Hope! Some not until the end of the book! I loved this story.. Secrets, superstition, disaster after disaster, romance, love, faith and redemption, it covered it all!
I thank the author for gifting me a copy and MY OPINION – I highly recommend Escape to Paradise! This book is at the top of my ‘Best Book I’ve read in 2015’ list!
