Peace in the Valley by Ruth Logan Herne

Through life’s tragedies and successes we all, hopefully come out better people. This story of life, failures, successes and faith was a story I enjoyed following this family and how they found “the Peace in the Valley”! Living life on the ranch, learning to trust again and a little romance made for a wonderful story.
I was gifted a copy from Blogging For Books and my review is voluntary…

About Peace in the Valley
In spite of their differences, Trey Walker Stafford knows he owes his life to cowboy and legendary rancher Sam Stafford—the uncle who rescued him after his parents’ death. Trey had left the Double S Ranch to pursue music against Sam’s wishes, but returns to central Washington when he learns he’s the best match for a procedure that could save Sam’s life. Although Trey’s found country music fame and success, he’s also endured the tragic loss of his wife. He croons about love, but struggles with a yawning emptiness he can’t explain.

Overwhelmed by a growing list of challenges, but mistrustful of Stafford men, single mother Lucy Carlton reluctantly accepts Trey’s help to revive her crumbling farm when Sam instructs him to repay the overdue debt to her family.

As the two grow closer, Trey slowly begins to open his heart to this beautiful woman and strives to let go of the grief he’s held for years. Lucy has a complicated history of her own. Can Trey accept her as she is, learn to forgive the past, and find the elusive peace he’s sought for so long?

God Bless America by Multnomah (coloring book)

God Bless America by Multnomah publishing is an adult coloring book with pages designed to reflect on what makes America a truly amazing country. I enjoyed all the patriotic pages and just in time to celebrate the 4th of July. Color a nice design and read about our history.  My first page was all done in red, white and blue . It was a pleasure to see it come out so pretty and patriotic too! A nice variety of pictures from nine different authors so the illustrations are from simple to complex. A very nice addition to my coloring book library. If you enjoy relaxing by way of coloring, I think you would enjoy the variety of this patriotic coloring book.

I was gifted a copy from Multnomah and Blogging for Books to enjoy and review.

About the book:  On  the pages of this coloring book for adults, and you will find a peaceful way to reflect on what makes America a truly amazing country: our values of equality, opportunity, faith, family, character, generosity, justice, and perseverance. Each coloring page features an original design from one of nine different artists, illustrating an inspirational quote from one of the Founding Fathers, an historic document, a patriotic hymn, or another of America’s heroes.

Slow down, quiet the noise, and express creativity as you color your way through history.

So grab your colored pencils or markers, find a comfortable spot to relax, and spend some time celebrating America. To help set the perfect patriotic mood, a link to the “Coloring America” playlist is included inside.
